Publicity and Digital Marketing Executive

We are looking for a creative and dynamic Publicity and Digital Marketing Executive. The successful applicant will be responsible for developing integrated on and offline publicity plans for new and backlist titles and ensuring strong press review coverage with key newspapers, magazines and digital media worldwide. The role will involve attending occasional author events in Singapore and assisting authors around the world with their own social media and publicity efforts. It is essential that the successful applicant be completely comfortable using social media such as Facebook and Twitter and should be happy and capable of discussing books on blogs and posting about new books and authors on key forums. The successful applicant will be responsible for maintaining an up-to-date database of traditional and new media contacts in select countries around the world.

Reporting to the Publisher, this is a fun and proactive role. The position will suit a committed, passionate individual who can multi-task and work efficiently on their own initiative on a number of projects. The ideal candidate will have:

Experience in publicity and marketing, ideally within the field of publishing
Very strong communication and English writing skills
Good knowledge of social media and digital marketing
Creative and original ideas
The ability to develop and implement plans for publicity and marketing
Strong analytical and administrative skills
A passion for books
